To help keep pets in good homes with people who love them, we established a pet food bank and emergency veterinary fund. We project distributing approximately 50,000 pounds of pet food this year. We provide dog and cat food for UCHRA Meals on Wheels recipients, the Pet Food Pantry and the commodities recipients. We also assist people who participate in the First Baptist Church Fishes and Loaves monthly service, a home health care network, people who foster cats waiting for their forever home, and people who contact us and/or are referred to us.We take dog food and treats to the White County Animal Shelter for the residents.
Our team has recently partnered with local organizations that serve the homeless community. We are now providing food and supplies to those with pets.
Our pet food bank is sustained through the generosity of companies and individuals donating food and money.
